Setting the priority medicinal plants for conservation in Indonesia

Abstract Setting priority species for conservation planning in a large and biodiverse country such as Indonesia is crucial. At least 80% of the medicinal plant South East Asia can be found Indonesia, whether they are native or introduced. However, their currently ineffective due to limited human financial resources. By examining factors species' occurrence status, rarity part harvested, various Indonesian prioritised planning. In this study, threatened have been included list well those listed related legislation. Some 233 within 161 genera 71 families recommended prioritisation. An inventory these was produced presenting compiled data including vernacular names, habit, harvested part, uses, distribution, it conserved ex situ, DNA barcoding.
